Introduction

Today, I am turning the LEGO Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell (43225) set into a Polly Pocket-style mermaid-themed living space. In this blog post, I’ll share the changes I made to the clamshell to make it a Polly Pocket mermaid home.

I removed all the pieces from the inner shell and began building the replacements. My goal was to create a Polly Pocket-like house, so I made sure to include removable furniture. I kept the three mermaids from the original set as the minifigures for the mermaid house.

I replaced Ursula’s lair with a living space complete with a kitchen, couch, and wardrobe. I also added a treasure chest and some plants for decoration.

Additionally, I swapped out the boat and Ariel’s hideout for a pond and a wooden chest for storage.

King Triton’s throne rock was transformed into a bed for the mermaids.

The removable elements included a wardrobe, a chest, a pond, a kitchen, and a couch.
