My Favorite LEGO Ideas (August 2024)
My August 2024 favorites include two modular building designs: a health center and beauty shops, a TV show-themed idea inspired by Gravity Falls, a modern sawmill, and a space-themed playground for young astronauts.
Sawmill
The sawmill LEGO Idea is designed to look and function like a real sawmill. From the log intake to the finished wood output, it mimics the process of turning a log into wood. The set features machinery, such as debarkers and saws, and includes minifigures to operate the equipment, making it both a fun display piece and an interactive play set.
Gravity Falls: The Mystery Shack
Even if you’re unfamiliar with the Gravity Falls TV show, this LEGO Idea has lots to offer fans. The set includes elements that define the show, like the hidden secret journal and the quirky TV. Overall, it would make a cute playset.
La Belle Ruelle
For a modular city set, this LEGO Idea is unique as it features both a hairdresser and a perfume shop. I like the building’s design, which successfully combines various architectural elements. Shoppers, a saleswoman, a barber, and a famous clown bring the scene to life, adding charm to the set.
Space Playground
As a fan of space, I’m excited about this LEGO Idea. It includes a see-saw, swings, a rocket ship, and a slide, making it a fun playground for kids. I can picture myself dressing up as an astronaut and pretending to launch into space on my rocket ship.
Health Centre
The Health Centre would make a great addition to any modular set collection. Designed as a modular, disabled-friendly building, it features doctor’s offices, ramps, and elevators for accessibility. What makes it stand out are the realistic details that mirror a real hospital. These include a pay machine next to the parking garage door, a water cooler, an eye chart, an x-ray machine, an ambulance bay, and detailed signs throughout the building.
