My Favorite Board Game LEGO Ideas (April 2025)
My April 2025 favorites include board game Ideas that could make great official LEGO sets. From classic favorites like Clue and Chess to retro games like Frogger.
Clue
This idea recreates the board game clue with the well-known characters from the 1985 movie. I love playing clue in any form. This is definitely something I would keep on my game room table. Having a 3D version of the rooms is a neat feature and even includes secret passages.
Frogger
The Lego version of the 1981 arcade game, frogger, allows players to navigate their frog across a road and river by rolling dice.
Medieval Chess Set With Storage Drawer
The chess set features well-designed pieces with gold elements, a clean look, and drawers for storage, making it a stylish and practical choice.
Monopoly
With its classic tokens and game pieces, this idea brings the original Monopoly game board to the LEGO universe. For fans of vintage board games, it might be the ideal display set.
Working Lego Mini Golf
This 3D Lego mini golf is functional. You just need to turn the trees to hit the ball. The fact that the trees serve as both a decorative and a hitting mechanism is fantastic.
The 3D Snakes & Ladders Adventure Game
This idea gives life to the classic board game Snakes and Ladders, also known as Chutes and Ladders in the United States. Instead of simply moving pieces, players’ minifigures can travel along a roller coaster track to navigate the board. Each space features a tiny cabinet with a theme, snake or ladder along with the square number you must move to. With so much incorporated, it would undoubtedly be entertaining.
Quirkle Boardgame
This idea is a LEGO adaptation of the Qwirkle game. Like Dominoes and Rummikub, Qwirkle can be matched by shape and color. What’s so great about the LEGO version is the ability to design your own tiles and use gameplay to create a mosaic-like layout.
4 in a Row! – Playable Board Game (MK1)
This idea makes 4 in a Row, also known as Connect 4, a LEGO game. It’s a simple design with red and yellow pieces but effective and includes a storage area to hold the pieces when not playing.
